Minnedosa Insurance Services was first formed by Byron Crawford. It was purchased by Craig Stewart in 1979 and by Bruce McNabb and David McDonald in 1988.

The current partnership of Mitch Hutton, Donald Schmall and Brad Walker purchased Minnedosa Insurance along with Rapid City Insurance in 2017.
